AgrAbility of Utah

AgrAbility is a national program designed to help farmers, ranchers and their family members remain in agriculture when facing limitations due to aging, disease, injury, illness or other disability. AgrAbility of Utah is a partnership between Utah State University Extension and New Frontiers for Families. Conditions may include: arthritis, back injury, chronic pain, heart conditions, hearing impairments or deafness, visual impairments or blindness, respiratory diseases, spinal cord injury, post-polio syndrome, amputations, traumatic brain injury, and more.

AgrAbility helps farmers and ranchers remain productive in agriculture by making it easier or more comfortable to perform daily tasks. AgrAbility specialists analyze each situation and recommend practical solutions to address everyday challenges faced by agriculturalists. AgrAbility works closely with Vocational Rehabilitation and other agencies to secure funding for necessary accommodations.
Through on-site assessments, AgrAbility staff is able to restructure work tasks, modify Ag operations, coordinate community and state resources, and customize a plan to meet individual and family needs.
